Environmental Quality Incentive Program

Environmental Quality Incentive Program (EQIP)is a conservation program that is administered by the Natural Resource Conservation Service with assistance from the Conservation District. This program is set up to address and solve eligible resources concerns such as soil, water, air, plants and animals, and provides technical and financial assistance to address these resource concerns.

Eligible land uses are forestry, pasture and cropland.

The NRCS staff work with local producers to develop conservation plans for their operation that contains a wide range of conservation practices to be implemented such as cross fencing, water troughs, pipeline, wells, pasture planting, water bars on logging roads, treatment of invasive species and many more.
